Hello Blessed Ones,
Today is all about product reviews.  I had an oppotunity to try some new to me vegan products this weekend they are follow your heart veganaise, veganaise tarter sauce, vegan sour cream, Galaxy Foods vegan cream cheese, Bobo's oatbars and Hometown bagels.

Follow your Heart:
Veganaise.... wow as a former non vegan I have to say this can give any non vegan mayo a run for it's money.  I enjoyed the taste both on a vegan sandwich and with the tenitive taste lick I give to anything I know I am picky on.  I'd say this is byfar the best vegan mayo I have had.

Veganaise Tarter Sauce-  Back in my days of being non vegan I was a big fan of the fish sandwich and that was replace by sophies kitchen vegan fish fillet...try it...it's awesome.  I slathered on the veganaise tarter sauce and  was a little surprised by the texture  but over all it was very good. I would also try this on sopies kitchen vegan crab cakes.

Vegan Sour Creme-  This was ok in the taste lick a little thicker than I am used to but I can't wait to try this in a recipie I am trying to veganise.

Galaxy Food:
Vegan Cream Cheese- I was in Heaven when I found Hometown bagels was vegan (check the label i don't know if they all are) but when I spread the vegan cream cheese on it I was transported.  It is better than a well known cream cheese that is not vegan. nuff said.

Bobo's Oat bars:
cinnemon rasin- the tase is good but I would be remiss not to say it is a little heavy for my tatses.  This bar could replace a meal.  I will say though when I say heavy I did try this with some fruit and it did fill me up rather quickly.

Well It is official I am 36 now :) well as of Valentines day.  I had a lot of birthday joys my Phoenix gave me a beautiful flowering plant and got to spend time with my mom.  I did have one huge birthday woe...Shingles...  joy :#.  However on the bright side, had I not gotten the annoying, burning, itchy grrrr :) I probably would not have spent as much time trolling the you tube  vids looking for info.  I saw all the reviews of February's conscious box and all I can say is I can't wait for mine to start in March.  I also am going to be starting a new product review post.  Each post will be called  What I found at... and the date. This will let me try new (to me) vegan things, let you know where I found them and if they are worth another buy or not.  remember these are only my opinions and others may have other opinions and views.  On another note I have a few vegan prepared meat substitutes left so while I finish those off,I am transitioning to a raw vegan diet and learning more about that.  I  made a promise to myself that I will always ask "can this be eaten raw? What can I do with this? What have I not tried before?"  And I will try something new each time I go shopping for food.

Happy Saturday.  I am on my 28th day as a vegan.  Ok so a bit about me and why I went vegan.  About two and a half years ago I saw food Inc and decided I hated what I saw as far as factory farms and went cold turkey vegan. Unfourtunately at that time I was dating a man who to say he was unsupportive would be an understatement. People who are vegan tend to talk about people they meet who say hurtful things like "mmmm bacon" or "so you're vegan, well I guess I will have to eat enough meat for two of us then."  Yeah try dateing that, on top of that he sabatoged me all the time even going as far as to get the waiter to put cheese on my salad while I was in the bathroom at olive garden ( I don't know who wanted to slap my boyfriend more me or the waiter).  After a year and a half of him harassing me I went back to eating meat and generally feeling crappy about it.  We lasted another whole month before I ended it based on the fact that he did not respect me.  I found myself saying more and more to my new boyfriend, family, coworkers, well ok anyone who would listen that I felt better, more energettic when I was vegan.  Finally a coworker told me to put up or shut up.  So on Dec 30th I went back to being vegan.  My fiance is still a meat eater but is open minded enough to try some of the vegan things I cook. He is wonderfully supportive and even has gone as far as to look stuff up on the net. I work in security and will say I was surprised at the support from the truck drivers that come through my site.  I have three drivers going vegan with me and one who as he puts it is "vegan except for honey".   I will occasionally plug my fave vegan products on my blog, because it gets their name out there and well they are my faves.  My first plug is Naked green machine... I love this juice smoothie. Why I love it  1. vegan 2. non GMO 3. the bottle is 100% recycled plastic and is recyclable 4. it tastes great.  I have even gotten my fiance to try it and he hates "weird green liquids".  Bonus my local shell station sells it so if I am dragging at work I can stop in on my way home and chug it down at red lights.   Well this blog post is getting long So I will leave you with this....

Hi, I'm 36 and a vegan. What this means is that I don't eat anything that comes from animal sources. I also avoid any products or clothing from animal sources though I am still learning and evolveing on that front.
